About Lisa’s Light

I’m Jo Anne Barron, and Lisa’s Light Senior Placement Services was created in honor of my sister, Lisa—a remarkable woman who lived with strength, purpose, and deep compassion until early-onset Alzheimer’s took her far too soon.

Lisa was a teacher, department chair, volleyball coach, devoted wife and mother, and the kind of person who always lifted others up. Her favorite color was purple, and she had a way of making everyone feel seen. She believed in doing the right thing—even when it was hard. She believed in people.

So do I.

This Work is Deeply Personal

When Lisa became ill, our family faced painful choices and a complicated system. I saw firsthand how hard it is to find the right care, to trust the process, and to know what questions to ask. We were grieving, confused, and tired—and we could have used someone who understood.

Now, I am that someone.

Lisa’s Light exists to guide families like yours through senior placement decisions with gentleness, clarity, and zero pressure. I provide trusted guidance on options like assisted living and memory care—all at no cost to you.

My background is in real estate, mortgage lending, and massage therapy, but more than anything, I’ve spent a lifetime supporting others. I’m also a wife, mom, and proud grandmother, and my favorite place in the world is anywhere my family is gathered.

Why This Matters

I don’t just want to help people place their loved ones—I want to help them honor them. Lisa’s Light is about dignity, compassion, and making sure no one has to navigate this journey alone.
